ACCOCEBERRY sarl

 

Accoceberry SARL is a craft and family firm located in the heart of the Basque Country, in the capital of the Espelette's pepper.

Created in 1959, the first Accoceberry's butcher shop keeps growing. Thus, today, it numbers fifteen employees and  four sites : two shops in Espelette city centre, a 1200 m2 factory (with an outlet and and a banquet hall), and, since January 2004, a 800 m2 warehouse.

The manager , Mr Pierre ACCOCEBERRY, has been, since his childhood, fascinated by gastronomy. This gourmet wants to give a new dimension to the firm, creating various recipes of sauces and meals.
Thanks to his fine cookery and his dynamic management, he has developped a large range of quality products : butcher’s trade, delicatessen, ready-cooked meals, grocery, salted products, Espelette's pepper... His supply policy focuses on local producers in the view to support Basque gastronomy.

The traditionnal know-how developped by the Accoceberrys offers a range composed of 80 typical products of Basque cuisine.

  

History

A few important dates :
  • 1959 : Jean ACCOCEBERRY creates the butcher’s shop in the famous Bergara's House in Espelette.
  • 1971 : Pierre ACCOCEBERRY take over from his father.
  • 1975 : in order to diversify the production, ready-cooked meals are now offered in direct sale .
  • 1990 : Creation of a second shop : « La  Table et le Piment », in the main street of the town.
  • 1990 : Standardisation of the butcher’s shop.
  • 1998 : Pierre ACCOCEBERRY associates with his son to set up the private limited company Accoceberry SARL.
  • Octobre 1999 : The Aldudes ham dryer is built.
  • March 2001 : Opening of the canning factory, according to the European standards.
  • January 2004 : Building of the new warehouse.

Since his childhood, Pierre ACCOCEBERRY, has been fascinated by gastronomy. His fine cookery and his traditionnal know-how allow him to develop, in 35 years, a range of 80 typical Basque products. 
His supply policy focuses on local producers in the view to support Basque gastronomy.

 

 

Thanks to our various activities, we offer you a large range of recipes from local ingredients cooked with passion and originality.

Since August 2001, we have followed a HACCP system (analysis and control of risks).
We assure traceability of our products in standardised premises.
Our staff work in accordance with methods respecting hygiene rules.
Tinned food and ready-cooked meals are regularly analysed by an independant laboratory.
